What the job involves
Catenary runs carried on tensioned steel cable, anchored to posts, structures or trees. The cable takes the load and the lamps just hang — which is why our runs still have their shape after three summers.
Every system we install uses solid cast brass fixtures with 2700K LED lamps, buried and sealed cable, and a stainless transformer sized with headroom for later additions. Fixtures carry a lifetime manufacturer warranty and the lamps are rated to 50,000 hours.
The process is the same on every job: a free design visit after dark with fixtures in hand, a written fixed quote, a clean install, then a return visit at night to aim every beam once the system is live.

How it works
Night demo
We come out after dark with fixtures in hand and light the house in front of you. You see the actual design before anything is bought.
Fixed quote
A written plan with fixture counts, placements and one price. No hourly surprises, no change orders once the number is agreed.
Clean install
Most residential systems go in within a day. Wire is trenched, transformers mounted discreetly, beds and turf left as we found them.
Aim & aftercare
We return at night to fine-tune every beam once the system is live — then optional maintenance keeps it aimed and lamped year-round.

What goes in the ground
Cast brass bodies
Machined solid brass with silicone gaskets. Lifetime manufacturer warranty on the fixture itself.
2700K LED lamps
Rated to 50,000 hours — roughly a decade of nightly use — and replaceable without pulling the fixture.
Stainless transformers
Toroidal low-voltage units in stainless enclosures, timer and photocell driven, mounted out of sight.
Maintenance plans
Optional annual service: re-aiming, lamp swaps, connector checks and seasonal changeovers.

Frequently asked questions
Why cable instead of just hanging the string?
A lamp string is not a structural cable. Hung on its own it stretches, sags unevenly and pulls its own sockets apart. We run galvanised or stainless cable with turnbuckles, then attach the lamps to that.
Can you anchor to trees without harming them?
Yes. We use arborist-friendly attachments that spread the load and allow for growth, rather than lag bolts or wire wrapped around a trunk.
What if I have no posts or trees?
We install cedar or powder-coated steel posts, set in concrete and sized for the span and wind load. They can be stained to match a fence or pergola.
Are the bulbs replaceable?
Yes. We use commercial-grade shatter-resistant LED lamps in standard sockets, so a failed lamp is a two-minute swap rather than a new run.
Will it survive a Houston storm?
The cable is sized with wind load in mind and turnbuckles let us re-tension seasonally. We have run these through Gulf Coast summers for years.
