Landscape lighting in Spring
Pines are lit from above, not below. Uplighting a loblolly mostly illuminates sixty feet of bare trunk. Mounting fixtures high in the canopy and aiming down — moonlighting — throws branch shadows across the lawn and the drive, and it is the single most convincing effect available in this part of Houston.
It is also the technique most installers skip, because it means climbing, careful cable management up the trunk and fixtures that have to be serviceable years later. We mount with arborist-friendly hardware and leave slack for growth.
On the ground
What we light in Spring
Moonlighting through pines
Fixtures set high in the canopy aimed down. Branch shadows across the lawn, no visible source, and nothing at eye level.
Tree-safe mounting
Arborist-friendly attachments with slack left for growth, never lag bolts or wire wrapped round a trunk.
Wooded approach drives
Deep lots under canopy need the drive read before the house. A few trees lit down the approach do more than a floodlit facade.

Reviews
What Houston-area homeowners say
Elwin was very professional. I watched him the whole time he was restoring my landscape lighting. He replaced bulbs for better lighting, installed new wiring, and did a great job of hiding wires. He arranged for my unit to run off of one box instead of three. My landscape lighting means the world to me.Luong Tieu Hung
We are so excited about our new outdoor dramatic lighting. Elwin was amazing to work with, always on time and communicated throughout. He also rewired and reworked some of our existing lighting and replaced bulbs. Can’t say enough about his workmanship and his professional approach.Connie Loftus
Ambiance Outdoor Lighting did a great job with my outdoor lighting project. They were very easy to work with and communicated with me throughout the project. They did a quality job at the best price that I found.Justin Chowattukunnel

Answers
Spring lighting questions
Does mounting lights in a tree hurt it?
Not the way we do it. We use arborist-approved attachment hardware that spreads load across the limb and leave deliberate slack in the cable for growth, then re-check it at annual service. What damages trees is lag bolts and cable wrapped tight around a trunk, which we never use.
How much does landscape lighting cost?
Most residential systems land between roughly $3,500 and $12,000 depending on fixture count, wire runs and transformer size. Every quote is fixed and written before work begins — see our pricing guide.
Is there a charge for the design visit?
No. We come out after dark with fixtures, light the property in front of you and leave you with a written quote. There is no charge and no obligation.
Do you charge extra to travel to Spring?
No. Spring is inside our normal service area and there is no travel surcharge.
