Landscape lighting in Sugar Land
That shapes the work. In the older First Colony and Sweetwater sections the live oaks have thirty years on them, so the design usually starts in the canopy — moonlighting down through the branches, then a light wash on the brick underneath. In Telfair and Riverstone the planting is younger and the architecture has to carry more of the scheme, which means careful uplighting on columns, gables and stone detail.
Nearly every Sugar Land community has an HOA with something to say about exterior fixtures. We keep runs buried, transformers out of sight and fixtures low and shielded, which is what those guidelines are usually protecting against in the first place.

What we light in Sugar Land
Mature live oaks
Established sections have canopy worth lighting from above as well as below. Moonlighting through an oak reads far more expensive than a row of uplights.
Brick and stone elevations
Grazing across brick at a shallow angle pulls out the texture. Flooding it flat washes the detail straight out.
HOA-friendly installs
Buried cable, hidden transformers, shielded fixtures and nothing visible from the street during the day.

What Houston-area homeowners say
Elwin was very professional. I watched him the whole time he was restoring my landscape lighting. He replaced bulbs for better lighting, installed new wiring, and did a great job of hiding wires. He arranged for my unit to run off of one box instead of three. My landscape lighting means the world to me.Luong Tieu Hung
We are so excited about our new outdoor dramatic lighting. Elwin was amazing to work with, always on time and communicated throughout. He also rewired and reworked some of our existing lighting and replaced bulbs. Can’t say enough about his workmanship and his professional approach.Connie Loftus
Ambiance Outdoor Lighting did a great job with my outdoor lighting project. They were very easy to work with and communicated with me throughout the project. They did a quality job at the best price that I found.Justin Chowattukunnel

Answers
Sugar Land lighting questions
Do you work with Sugar Land HOA guidelines?
Yes. Most Sugar Land communities restrict visible exterior fixtures and above-ground wiring, which is how we install anyway — cable is trenched, transformers are mounted out of sight and path fixtures sit low and shielded. If your association needs a plan submitted, we will provide the fixture schedule and placement drawing.
How much does landscape lighting cost?
Most residential systems land between roughly $3,500 and $12,000 depending on fixture count, wire runs and transformer size. Every quote is fixed and written before work begins — see our pricing guide.
Is there a charge for the design visit?
No. We come out after dark with fixtures, light the property in front of you and leave you with a written quote. There is no charge and no obligation.
Do you charge extra to travel to Sugar Land?
No. Sugar Land is inside our normal service area and there is no travel surcharge.
