In detail
What the job involves
Low, shielded fixtures that light the ground rather than the guest. The common mistake is too many, too bright, too evenly spaced — a landing strip down the front walk. Done well, you notice the path, not the lights.
Every system we install uses solid cast brass fixtures with 2700K LED lamps, buried and sealed cable, and a stainless transformer sized with headroom for later additions. Fixtures carry a lifetime manufacturer warranty and the lamps are rated to 50,000 hours.
The process is the same on every job: a free design visit after dark with fixtures in hand, a written fixed quote, a clean install, then a return visit at night to aim every beam once the system is live.
Our process
How it works
Night demo
We come out after dark with fixtures in hand and light the house in front of you. You see the actual design before anything is bought.
Fixed quote
A written plan with fixture counts, placements and one price. No hourly surprises, no change orders once the number is agreed.
Clean install
Most residential systems go in within a day. Wire is trenched, transformers mounted discreetly, beds and turf left as we found them.
Aim & aftercare
We return at night to fine-tune every beam once the system is live — then optional maintenance keeps it aimed and lamped year-round.
Components
What goes in the ground
Cast brass bodies
Machined solid brass with silicone gaskets. Lifetime manufacturer warranty on the fixture itself.
2700K LED lamps
Rated to 50,000 hours — roughly a decade of nightly use — and replaceable without pulling the fixture.
Stainless transformers
Toroidal low-voltage units in stainless enclosures, timer and photocell driven, mounted out of sight.
Maintenance plans
Optional annual service: re-aiming, lamp swaps, connector checks and seasonal changeovers.

Reviews
What Houston homeowners say
I had wanted to do outdoor lighting for years, but it was hard to find a company to give a quote or even return my call. These guys came to my home and listened to my ideas, they made valuable suggestions. The installation was simple and their crew was very respectful. The end result is perfect lighting for my home.Charles Crixell
We are really enjoying our backyard every evening now, which looks like a fairyland. He did lots of reworking, repairing and adding to an old system. I very seldom give reviews, but I really was so pleased with the service and work. He came when he said he would and did what he said he was going to.June Stanley
Elwin was very professional. I watched him the whole time he was restoring my landscape lighting. He replaced bulbs for better lighting, installed new wiring, and did a great job of hiding wires. He arranged for my unit to run off of one box instead of three. My landscape lighting means the world to me.Luong Tieu Hung

Answers
Frequently asked questions
How far apart should path lights be?
Further apart than most people expect — typically 8 to 12 feet, staggered rather than matched in pairs. The aim is overlapping pools of light with soft gaps between, not a continuous lit corridor.
Why do my existing path lights glare?
Almost always an unshielded fixture mounted too high. A proper path light hides the lamp behind a hat or louvre so you see the lit ground and never the source.
Can you light steps safely?
Yes. Steps are usually handled with recessed hardscape or under-tread fixtures rather than post lights, so the tread edge reads clearly without anything to trip over.
Do path lights work for long driveways?
Yes, though on long drives we often mix low path fixtures with uplit trees along the run, which gives far better depth than a line of identical posts.
