How we work
Lighting designed on the property, after dark
Landscape lighting is not a product you buy, it is a set of decisions about where light lands. The same eight fixtures can make a house look expensive or make it look like a used car lot, and the difference is entirely in placement, aim and beam spread.
So we design on site, at night, with fixtures live in hand. We walk the beam angles until the canopy fills properly, the stone grazes instead of flattening, and no guest walking up the path ever looks into a lamp. Then it gets buried, sealed and left clean.
The techniques are straightforward once you can see them working. Uplighting puts a fixture at the base of a tree or wall aimed up. Moonlighting does the opposite, mounting high in a canopy and aiming down so branch shadows fall across the lawn. Grazing runs light close and parallel to a textured surface to pull out brick, stone or bark. Silhouetting lights the wall behind a specimen plant so the plant reads as a shape. Most good schemes use three of the four.
What we usually light on a Houston home
Specimen trees
Live oaks, magnolias and crepe myrtles. Usually two or three fixtures per tree at different angles, never one flat-on.
Architectural features
Columns, gables, stone, entries and chimney masses. Grazed at a shallow angle so texture reads.
Beds and foreground
Low, wide fixtures that give the planting depth and stop the garden ending at the edge of the lawn.
Walks and steps
Shielded path lighting that makes the route obvious without glare.
Driveways and approaches
A lit approach does more for kerb appeal than a floodlit facade ever will.
Water and features
Pools, fountains and ponds, where reflection doubles every fixture you aim across it.
Why homeowners choose us
Aiming is the job, not installing
Anyone can put a fixture in the ground. We return after the system is live and re-aim every beam at night, which is the step that separates a designed scheme from a set of lights.
- Solid cast brass, not aluminium. Brass weathers to a living patina instead of corroding through in Gulf Coast humidity.
- Buried runs and sealed connections. No wire across the lawn, nothing for a mower or an edger to find.
- Warm 2700K LED throughout. Matched colour temperature so brick reads like brick, not blue.
- One local owner on every job. The person who quotes the work is on site while it is installed.

What Houston homeowners say
I had wanted to do outdoor lighting for years, but it was hard to find a company to give a quote or even return my call. These guys came to my home and listened to my ideas, they made valuable suggestions. The installation was simple and their crew was very respectful. The end result is perfect lighting for my home.Charles Crixell
We are really enjoying our backyard every evening now, which looks like a fairyland. He did lots of reworking, repairing and adding to an old system. I very seldom give reviews, but I really was so pleased with the service and work. He came when he said he would and did what he said he was going to.June Stanley
Elwin was very professional. I watched him the whole time he was restoring my landscape lighting. He replaced bulbs for better lighting, installed new wiring, and did a great job of hiding wires. He arranged for my unit to run off of one box instead of three. My landscape lighting means the world to me.Luong Tieu Hung

Answers
Frequently asked questions
How much does landscape lighting cost in Houston?
Most residential systems land between roughly $3,500 and $12,000 depending on fixture count, wire runs and transformer size. A small front-of-house package starts lower. Every quote is fixed and written before any work begins — see our pricing guide.
How many fixtures will my house need?
It depends on frontage, tree count and what you want emphasised. A typical Houston two-storey front elevation uses somewhere between 8 and 20 fixtures. We count them on the night demo so you see exactly what you are paying for.
Will it damage my lawn or beds?
No. Low-voltage cable is trenched shallowly with a blade rather than dug, beds are re-mulched and turf is closed back over. Most properties show no trace within a week.
Do you use LED or halogen?
LED throughout, at 2700K warm white. Halogen systems run hotter, fail sooner and cost several times more to run. We regularly convert older halogen systems to LED as part of a repair and restoration job.
Can lighting be added in stages?
Yes. We design the full scheme, then size the transformer and trunk runs so later phases plug in without re-trenching. Many clients do the front elevation first and the back garden the following year.
